Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the conditions governing our shipping, freight, courier, tracking, customs-support and related logistics services.
Updated September 10, 2025Shipping Service Terms
By requesting, booking, paying for, sending, receiving or tracking a shipment through Express Mail Logistics, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you arrange a shipment for another person or business, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms on their behalf.
1. Scope of Our Services
Express Mail Logistics provides domestic and international courier, freight, shipping, tracking, warehousing, distribution, packaging and customs-support services.
Services may be performed directly by Express Mail Logistics or through carriers, delivery agents, freight forwarders, warehouses, customs representatives and other contractors.
Service availability depends on the shipment type, origin, destination, route, carrier capacity, local regulations and operational conditions.
2. Quotations, Bookings and Charges
Quotations are based on the information supplied by the customer, including shipment contents, value, weight, dimensions, origin, destination and requested service.
A quotation may change when:
- The information supplied was incomplete or inaccurate.
- The actual weight or dimensions differ from those declared.
- Special handling, storage or packaging is required.
- Customs duties, taxes or government fees apply.
- Remote-area, carrier or fuel surcharges apply.
- The route, address or requested service changes.
The customer is responsible for all agreed transportation, customs, storage, return, redelivery and authorized additional charges.
3. Customer and Shipper Responsibilities
The customer and shipper are responsible for:
- Providing accurate sender and receiver information.
- Providing a valid email address and telephone number.
- Accurately describing the shipment contents.
- Declaring the correct value, quantity, weight and dimensions.
- Providing required invoices, permits and customs documents.
- Ensuring the shipment is lawful at its origin and destination.
- Paying applicable shipping charges, duties and taxes.
- Informing us of fragile, valuable or regulated contents.
The customer may be responsible for delays, penalties, losses or additional costs resulting from inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information.
4. Packaging and Labeling
The shipper must use packaging suitable for the shipment’s contents, weight, handling requirements, route and method of transportation.
Packages must be capable of withstanding ordinary handling, sorting, loading, transportation and storage.
We may refuse, delay, repackage or apply additional charges to an inadequately packed or labeled shipment. Acceptance of a shipment does not confirm that its packaging is sufficient.
5. Prohibited and Restricted Shipments
We may refuse or stop shipments containing goods prohibited or restricted by law, carriers, customs authorities, aviation authorities or destination-country regulations.
These may include:
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances.
- Counterfeit or stolen goods.
- Explosives, ammunition and unauthorized weapons.
- Hazardous, radioactive, infectious or corrosive materials.
- Unauthorized biological materials or human remains.
- Live animals without prior written approval.
- Currency, bearer instruments or negotiable securities.
- Goods restricted by sanctions or trade regulations.
- Items requiring permits that have not been obtained.
Concealing or falsely describing shipment contents is a material violation of these Terms.
6. Inspection and Right to Refuse
We may refuse, inspect, scan, open, hold, return or surrender a shipment to the appropriate authorities where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law.
- Complete customs or security screening.
- Verify shipment information.
- Protect people, property and other shipments.
- Investigate suspected fraud or prohibited contents.
- Address inadequate packaging or documentation.
Inspection does not mean that we accept responsibility for identifying prohibited items or confirming that shipment declarations are accurate.
7. Customs Clearance
International shipments may be subject to customs declarations, inspections, duties, taxes, permits and import or export restrictions.
The customer authorizes Express Mail Logistics and its service providers to submit shipment information to customs and other relevant authorities when necessary.
We may assist with clearance, but we do not control or guarantee decisions made by customs authorities.
The customer is responsible for accurate declarations, correct shipment values, required permits, duties, taxes, penalties, storage charges and customs expenses.
8. Tracking and Shipment Notifications
Tracking information is provided to help customers monitor shipment progress. Updates may be delayed, estimated, incomplete or dependent on information received from third-party carriers.
Tracking information does not create a separate guarantee concerning delivery time, customs release or shipment condition.
Shipment notifications may be sent to contact details supplied by the sender, receiver or authorized customer. Tracking numbers should only be shared with authorized persons.
9. Delivery Times and Estimated Dates
Pickup times, transit periods and estimated delivery dates are estimates unless a guaranteed service has been expressly confirmed in writing.
Delivery may be affected by:
- Customs or security inspections.
- Incorrect or incomplete addresses.
- Recipient unavailability.
- Weather and natural disasters.
- Government restrictions.
- Transportation disruption.
- Public holidays or labor disputes.
- Missing documentation or unpaid charges.
10. Delivery and Proof of Delivery
A shipment may be considered delivered when it is:
- Delivered to the named recipient.
- Delivered to an authorized representative.
- Delivered according to approved delivery instructions.
- Accepted by a reception desk, mailroom or building manager.
- Left at an agreed or reasonably secure location.
Proof of delivery may include a signature, name, photograph, electronic scan, carrier record or delivery confirmation.
11. Shipment Holds and Failed Deliveries
A shipment may be placed on hold because of:
- Missing or inaccurate documentation.
- Customs or security review.
- Address or recipient problems.
- Restricted contents.
- Outstanding authorized charges.
- Packaging concerns.
- Carrier or government instructions.
If delivery cannot be completed, we may attempt redelivery, hold the shipment, correct the address, return it to the sender or place it in storage. Additional charges may apply.
12. Returns, Storage and Disposal
An undeliverable or uncleared shipment may be returned to the sender at the customer’s expense.
Where a shipment cannot be returned and instructions are not received within a reasonable period, it may be stored, surrendered to authorities, abandoned or disposed of where legally permitted.
The customer remains responsible for transportation, customs, return, storage and disposal expenses.
13. Insurance and Declared Value
Standard carrier liability is not the same as full shipment insurance.
Optional insurance or declared-value protection must be requested, approved and paid for according to the written conditions of the applicable service.
Coverage may be subject to limits, exclusions, deductibles, packaging requirements, documentation requirements and claim deadlines.
Declaring a shipment’s value does not automatically create insurance coverage. Coverage must be confirmed in writing.
14. Refunds, Loss and Damage Claims
Refund requests are governed by our Refund and Returns Policy. Loss and damage requests are treated as shipment claims.
A claimant may be required to provide:
- The shipment tracking number.
- Proof of shipment and payment.
- Evidence of the contents and value.
- Photographs of damaged items and packaging.
- Invoices or purchase records.
- Other reasonably requested documentation.
Submitting a claim does not guarantee compensation. Compensation is subject to applicable carrier, insurance, liability and legal limits.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to direct and proven physical loss of or damage to a shipment while it is under the control of Express Mail Logistics or an appointed service provider.
Liability may be limited by:
- The actual value of the affected goods.
- The amount of proven direct loss.
- The accepted declared value.
- Applicable insurance coverage.
- Carrier liability limits.
- Mandatory transportation law or international conventions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, reputational damage, inadequate packaging, inherent defects or customs decisions.
16. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather or natural disasters.
- War, terrorism, civil unrest or piracy.
- Government action or border closures.
- Customs and security inspections.
- Strikes and labor disputes.
- Airport, seaport, railway or road disruption.
- Cyberattacks or technology failures.
- Fire, flood, accident or infrastructure damage.
17. Website Use, Privacy and Intellectual Property
Users must not interfere with the website, bypass security measures, introduce malicious code, overload the tracking system or access shipment information without authorization.
The Express Mail Logistics name, logo, content, website design and tracking interface may not be copied or used without permission.
Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. Customers providing recipient information confirm they are authorized to provide it for shipping, tracking, customs and delivery purposes.
18. Fraud Prevention
Customers must not:
- Provide false shipment information.
- Use unauthorized payment information.
- Create fraudulent tracking documents.
- Impersonate Express Mail Logistics representatives.
- Use our services to evade legal requirements.

We may suspend services, preserve records and cooperate with authorities when fraud or unlawful activity is suspected.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the Express Mail Logistics entity that accepts the shipment, subject to mandatory consumer-protection laws and international transportation conventions.
Customers should contact us first so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve a complaint.
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
